Primary Schools Launch Free Breakfast Clubs to Support Pupils and Families
Northern Schools Trust is proud to offer free breakfast clubs across all of our primary schools, supported by the Department for Education’s Best Start programme. These clubs ensure that pupils begin each school day ready to learn, while also providing essential support to families.
The breakfast clubs are designed to give children a positive and calm start to the school day, while helping parents manage work and family commitments amid the rising cost of living. Pupils have access to a nutritious meal in a welcoming environment before lessons begin, promoting wellbeing, engagement, and academic readiness.
“A free breakfast club provides a positive and inclusive start to the day for all our families. By ensuring every child has access to a nutritious breakfast and a settled start, the breakfast club strengthens engagement, attendance, and overall school readiness, creating benefits for children, families, and the wider school community.”

Northern Schools Trust is delighted to be part of this initiative and celebrates the positive impact it will have on pupils and families across its school communities.
